Visiting a Ripley’s attraction is a great way for your family to spend a Great Smoky Mountain vacation.
It can be tricky to find active coupon codes or a working discount code for popular Smokies attractions. But don't worry, you're in luck. Ripley's offers combo passes that are a great way to save money and see multiple attractions in Gatlinburg and surrounding areas.
In fact, the Great Smoky Mountains is proud to be home to ten great attractions. That’s more Ripley’s attractions than anywhere else in the world!
What Ripley's attractions does Gatlinburg offer?
The Ripley’s Believe It or Not! empire began with a simple sports cartoon in 1918. Robert Ripley traveled the world, collected "oddities" and published cartoons and books.
The very first Odditorium opened in Chicago in 1933. Through the years, Ripley’s has expanded into a number of attractions.
If you want to visit multiple attractions in Gatlinburg, you can get a great combo deal for the aquarium plus two attractions or a pass for the aquarium plus three attractions. Both of these options can save more than $30 per guest!
Here are the Ripley's attractions in Gatlinburg and the surrounding areas for you to choose from:
1. Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies
Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies has been voted as Best Aquarium in North America by Readers’ Choice in USA Today, and for good reason.
This aquarium is easily one of the area's most popular attractions.
Its features such as the underwater tunnel, Touch a Ray Bay, Discovery Center and unique hands-on experiences make this aquarium a must-see attraction.
It’s centrally located in downtown Gatlinburg with access to nearby restaurants, and there are also convenient meal options inside.
How much does it cost to get into Ripley's in Gatlinburg?
The aquarium is automatically included in the combo passes, whether you choose two additional attractions or three additional attractions.
Ripley's aquarium tickets for only the aquarium are currently $39.99 for adults, $24.99 for children 6-11 or $9.99 for children 2-5.
The aquarium plus two attractions ticket is currently $64.99 for adult tickets and $44.99 for children 3-11.
The aquarium plus three attractions ticket is currently $69.99 per adult and $47.99 for children 3-11. This is the best combo deal, assuming you want to see more than just the aquarium. It offers the biggest bang for your buck.
Children under age three get free admission when a combo pack is purchased.
How long does it take to walk through Ripley's Aquarium Gatlinburg?
It depends on who you ask. On average, people spend between 2-3 hours at the aquarium. Personally, I like to get my money's worth, so I'd plan for at least a half day and take my time.
2. Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium
The Odditorium boasts the title of being the weirdest place in Gatlinburg.
This attraction has 16 themed galleries with 500 artifacts and numerous exhibits.
If you love obscure, fun facts, you’ll love this Odditorium. Did you know that the Asmat people used the skulls of their enemies as pillows?
Or that someone created a Last Supper piece of art made of lint?
A standalone ticket for the Odditorium is currently $29.99 for adults, $16.99 for children 6-11 and $4.99 for children 2-5. I think it's a great option when choosing your additional attraction when you buy the combo pass.
3. Ripley’s Moving Theater
In this interactive theater, guests experience films in 5D with digital effects and motion seats.
The attraction does not take long to experience, so it makes for a good add-on activity. It’s generally a great experience for kids, but it can feel jerky for some adults.
Pregnant women and people with certain medical conditions should not ride. Hours may be limited, so be sure to call to verify hours prior to your visit.
Standalone prices are $16.99 for adults and $9.99 for children 43 inches tall to age 11.
4. Ripley’s Marvelous Mirror Maze
This is another “brief” attraction that won’t take you long to get through, but it certainly is intriguing, and in my experience, kids tend to love it.
The Mirror Maze has thousands of reflections, lights and effects with only one way out. There are plenty of good photo opportunities to be had here.
This site is also host to Ripley’s Candy Factory, which features old-time classics as well as modern treats.
Standalone prices are $14.99 for adults and $9.99 for children 3-11.
5. Ripley’s Haunted Adventure
Ripley’s Haunted Adventure is Tennessee’s only Haunted House that is open 365 days a year. It features animatronics, special effects and live actors.
This attraction takes a short amount of time to get through as well, with most guests spending about 30 minutes here.
It can be a bit scary for younger guests and non-haunted house enthusiasts. I know in my own family, there would be some people who wouldn't appreciate this attraction much.
Guests must be at least six years old to enter. Standalone tickets are currently $16.99 for adults or $9.99 for children 6-11.
6. Ripley's Super Fun Zone
Ripley's Super Fun Zone is an 80s-themed arcade that features games, laser tag and mini golf.
Super Fun Zone is one of the newer additions to the Ripley's family in the Smokies, having opened in 2020.
The arcade is appropriately splashed with bright, Day-Glo colors.
When you buy one of the combo passes, it includes either a round of laser tag or indoor mini golf. When purchased without the combo pass, a round of both costs $19.99.
7. Ripley's Mountain Coaster
As a relatively newly branded coaster for Ripley's, I think this is a good option for a combo pass.
I have to admit, growing up in East Tennessee, I didn't do a lot of mountain coasters. Since we usually had an annual pass to Dollywood, my parents weren't exactly volunteering to pay for an extra stand-alone ride.
But as an adult? When I took my Texas-born husband to the Smokies, I'll give you one guess as to what he wanted to do.
A mountain coaster hits a bit differently than a traditional roller coaster, and it's a staple itinerary item when you visit the mountains.
As a standalone attraction, you can buy two rides for an adult for $24.99 or two rides for a child (3-9) for $12.99.
8. Ripley's Super Fun Park
The Super Fun Park, not to be confused with the Super Fun Zone, is located in Pigeon Forge. It is another attraction that was somewhat recently rebranded to Ripley's. It features go-karts, a carousel and bumper boats.
When you select this attraction as part of your combo pass, it includes one hour of unlimited rides.
As a standalone attraction, one hour of rides is $29.99 for adults or $19.99 for children.
9. Ripley’s Old Mac Mini Golf
Mini golf is another classic itinerary item when you visit the Smokies.
Old MacDonald’s Farm Mini Golf is located in Sevierville and has 3 unique courses (54 holes) with animated characters, water features and an arcade fun zone.
It’s very family-friendly and has the potential for hours of entertainment.
As a standalone, 36 holes for adults is $16.99 or $11.99 for children 3-11.
10. Ripley’s Davy Crockett Mini Golf
Davy Crockett is one of the best mini golf courses in the area.
The holes are challenging for both kids and adults, and you’ll enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains as you golf.
Two unique courses are available and clearly, no mini golf course is complete without water features and interactive critters.
As a standalone, 36 holes for adults is $16.99 or $11.99 for children 3-11.
Is the Guinness World Records Adventure closed?
The Guinness World Records Adventure deserves an honorable mention in this list, but this attraction has been closed since the summer of 2020.
Does Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies offer AAA discounts?
Ripley's Aquarium currently offers AAA, AARP, active military and veterans discounts.
But, if you're even a little interested in any of the other attractions mentioned above, combo tickets are the absolutely perfect way to save money and check off the major items on your vacation wish list.
Tickets are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
