Two New Dinner Shows Debut in the Smoky Mountains This Summer

SkyLand Ranch offers a new dinner experience in Sevierville in 2024

Dinner shows have been a staple in the Smoky Mountains since the Dolly Stampede opened in Pigeon Forge back in 1987 (originally called Dixie Stampede). I can remember experiencing the show with my little sister and grandparents when I was growing up.

And now, down the Parkway in Dolly’s hometown of Sevierville, SkyLand Ranch has added two new outdoor dinner shows this year. Both shows, the Chuckwagon Supper and Rancher's Revenge Murder Mystery Dinner Shows are family-friendly combinations of entertainment and dining. They are offered on select evenings in 2024.

This spring, the new attraction SkyLand Ranch announced two new dinner shows to their new attraction. One of the shows features a Wild West theme with music and roping acts with BBQ pulled pork, smoked chicken and an array of sides. The other announced show is a murder mystery show, which is not currently available at the time of this writing.

About SkyLand Ranch Park

SkyLand Ranch opened in Sevierville, Tenn., in 2022. The newer attraction is located at 1620 Parkway. Guests must take a chairlift up to the ranch itself, which boasts restaurants, shops, a roller coaster, miniature farm animals, a waterfall and a scenic overlook. There are also lots of spaces for hanging out and taking in the scenic views. Those areas are furnished with Adirondack chairs, fire pits and cornhole boards. At the time of this writing, general admission pricing for the attraction starts at $24.99 for adults and $15.99 for children ages 3-9.

The two new dinner shows

SkyLand Ranch will be hosting two different dinner shows on select evenings this summer. Both shows are family-friendly and include a combination of hearty cowboy fare and live entertainment. Additionally, tickets to either of the three-hour shows include three days of admission to SkyLand Ranch.

According to SkyLand Ranch’s website, the dinner menu for the Chuckwagon Supper Show includes BBQ pulled pork, bone-in smoked chicken, roasted corn on the cob, dude ranch baked beans, white cheddar macaroni & cheese, garden fresh coleslaw, freshly baked rolls and brownie sundaes. The Rancher’s Revenge Murder Mystery Show is set to feature the same menu as the Chuckwagon Supper Show. The interactive show is set on a peaceful homestead circa 1886. Participants are also encouraged to work together in solving puzzles and clues to identify the culprit before time runs out.

What are the hours and the admission costs?

The Chuckwagon Supper Show is offered most Saturday nights and also a few weeknights throughout the summer until the end of August. The show takes place at SkyLand Ranch. Therefore, guests must take the chair lift (or shuttle) before showtime.

At the time of this writing, the cost of the Chuckwagon Supper Show is $24.99 for children ages 3-9 and $49.99 for adults. A 3-day general admission to SkyLand Ranch is included with the tickets as well as pre/post-show western-themed activities. Combination tickets that include the mountain coaster are also available for an additional fee. At the time of this writing, the Rancher's Revenge Murder Mystery Show is not showing at SkyLand Ranch. Therefore, the website does not list specific dates or pricing information at this time.

Although SkyLand Ranch was slated to offer two different dinner shows in the summer of 2024, they are currently offering The Chuckwagon Supper Show on select evenings from April through the end of August. The show features live entertainment and a menu that celebrates cowboy culture. The second announced show, Rancher’s Revenge Murder Mystery, is not currently being offered.
